Released for their 18th batch of spectacular single cask bottlings, this 27-year-old single malt from GlenDronach has been matured in a single Oloroso sherry puncheon, personally selected by Master Blender Dr Rachel Barrie, from 1992 to 2020. Just 699 bottles have been produced, each at 53.7% abv and without chill filtration or added colouring.
The nose is strikes an exquisite balance of plum, sweet date and cherry cake, alongside mulled wine and spiced orange. Plum, maraschino cherry and prune interweave with mandarin and pomelo on the palate, finishing with dark chocolate sultana and spice.
