Matured in a combination of ex-bourbon and sherry casks, this deliciously dark release from Islay's Ardbeg Distillery was released to mark the end of Ardbeg Day at the 2016 Islay Festival of Music & Malt and celebrates the history of Scotch Whisky, when bootleggers smuggled casks from Ardbeg bay to waiting ships to the mainland, hoping to avoid running into the dreaded Excise Men.
