Benromach 1977 #1266 Description
We’re thrilled to get our paws on this one. This Benromach was filled in 1977, when Concorde was taking to the skies and a little-known company called Apple started building computers. Over the next 39 years, this whisky was maturing beautifully in a refill American Bourbon hogshead cask, before being bottled at a cask-strength of 49.6% abv in 2017. Accompanying the phenomenal flavour, bursting with fruit and chocolate with a little citrus zing, it also comes in a plush heavy oak presentation box. One to really show off to your pals!
Nose: honey, citrus, toasted oak. Palate: butterscotch, hints of black pepper, caramelised banana. Finish: oak, orange zest.
