Hamish's Tipple of the Week: Dark & Stormy
As Scotland and the North battles Storm Otto, in hopefully the last of the bad weather before the sun comes out, we are making a themed drink here at The Loch Fyne. A wee bit of a departure from our typical dram, we decided to make a Dark & Stormy - made with rum, rather than our obvious favourite: whisky. Although probably best sipped on a beach somewhere in the Caribbean, we can definitely dream!
Fill your Collins glass with plenty of ice.
Pour over 100ml spicy ginger beer and gently squeeze half a lime on top, stir.
Then add 50ml dark rum on top to make your layers.
Serve with a lime wedge.
Best dark rum for a Dark & Stormy.
Enjoy!
