The good folk at Loch Fyne Whiskies know how popular whiskies from Campbeltown are, which is why the latest releases from this wonderful wee whisky town are front and centre of our online shop.

The Longrow Red is the latest release from Springbank, so called because the whisky has been finished in casks thatpreviously held red wine. In this case it’s a Pinot Noir that gives this spirit a strawberry edge to its signature smoky finish.

There are only 9000 bottles of this bad boy available worldwide, selling at £65 a bottle, so don’t wait too long before you bag a Longrow.

Next up is Springbank 12yo cask strength. This single malt has been 60% matured in first fill and 40% in refill sherry hogsheads. Bottled at a punchy 54.3% abs, this has become a firm favourite amongst Campbeltown whisky fans and is available for only £65.

And finally we have Kilkerran's Work In Progress 7, a sherry wood-matured single malt from Glengyle Distillery, also based in Campbeltown. This expression was distilled in 2004 as part of a highly praised series, and this sherry cask release is the final one ever of from that “collection” making the £35 price tag feel like a bargain.

Take it from me, you can’t go wrong with any whisky distilled in this fantastic wee town. I should know as my family hail from here.

With the shipbuilding long gone, along with the once vibrant fishing sector, the only industry left of note in this once thriving village is distilling. So take comfort from the fact that you are not only buying a fabulous spirit with these great products, you are also helping sustain the spirit of a proud wee Scottish town at the same time.

The chance to feel good while tasting something good is a chance not to be missed.
