Highland Park

Highland Park is the furthest north and most remote distillery in Scotland, on the island of Orkney. Founded as early as 1798, but not officially licensed until 1826, the traditional distilling methods have been passed on and are still apparent in the liquid that is produced today. They use onsite floor maltings, and own four stills. The island's rich geology and sea air attribute to the character of the whiskies, and they have been named as some of the best whiskies in the world on a number of occasions in the last decade.
