Mortlach
The Mortlach distillery can be found in the heart of Speyside, in the town of Dufftown, which produces more whisky than any other town in Scotland. Founded in 1823 by John Findlater, Mortlach was the first legal distillery to originate from there. Mortlach is now a Diageo owned distillery, which is used in blends such as Johnnie Walker Blue Label. There are three wash stills and three spirit stills, which have a combined annual capacity of 2.9 million litres. Alongside a handful of independent bottlings, Mortlach has also produced a small selection of popular official releases.
