Octomore
Octomore is part of the Bruichladdich family and is named after the Octomore farm which once housed a distillery, overlooking Port Charlotte on Islay. The original distillery opened in 1816, and was made using the barley grown in the surrounding fields, and peat from their land, which would have created a very heavily peated spirit. The Octomore brand is named in the honour of this remarkable historic story.
