Tamdhu

Tamdhu Distillery is located in Aberlour next to the Knockando Burn, and was founded in 1896 by a group of whisky blenders, including the famous William Grant & Sons. Designed by Charles Doig of Elgin, this striking distillery is relatively large, and houses six stills. It is one of very few distilleries with onsite maltings, which also produces malt for all the other distilleries in the Edrington Group. Despite the distillery being briefly mothballed in 2010, it is now growing in popularity and expanding its core range.
