Brora 38 Year Old

This Highland Single Malt is one of only 2,984 individually numbered bottles produced as part of the 2016 Diageo Special Releases Collection. The oldest expression to be bottled to date from the now closed Brora distillery, this 38 year old was distilled in 1977 and matured in refill American Oak hogsheads and refill European Oak butts.
Nose: smoke, wood ash and citrus come in waves with leather polish accentuated by notes of mint and toffee.
Palate: smooth and slightly waxy with a caramel base layered with lemon peel and wood ash before a minty, peat tang emerges.
Finish: long with dark chocolate and ginger notes.
