Caol Ila 30 year old
70cl / 55.1% abv
A special release from the Diageo collection in 2014. The oldest official bottling to date from the distillery. A marriage of American and European oak. Only 7,638 bottles worldwide.
Nose: Smoky and sweet like toasting marshmallows on the machair, while the sea breeze whips round the fire.
Palate: rich peat smoke, digestive biscuit on the deck of a boat.
Finish: long and mouth drying, continuing maritime influence and hints of liquorice.
