We have seen a lot of drams in our time, so understand that it takes a lot to take our breath away. This 1975 Convalmore single cask malt is a once in a blue moon find. Convalmore, sadly, has been demolished and has been closed since 1985. From a distillery with a history that reaches back into the 19th century, its rare expressions are becoming more challenging to find by the year. During its operation, it was used primarily in blends, but it was only after the distillery closed that experts and fans began to realise its supreme quality. Bottled at 47.9% abv, this one is free from chill filtration and colouring. Matured for 45 years in a single cask, this expression was bottled in December 2020 as part of Gordon & Macphail’s renowned Private Collection. Returns
