This expression from the Portsoy-based Glenglassaugh Distillery is matured in octave casks, 1/8th the size of a regular butt, allowing for more interaction between the wood of the cask and the spirit itself.
This non chill-filtered, natural coloured expression is bottled at 44% abv.

Nose: full of sherbet and candy apples with a warming note of white pepper and cinnamon.
Palate: green apple peel balanced with stewed plums and hints of black vanilla pod.
Finish: combines citrus and sweet notes with oak aspects from the octave casks.
