Michter's Toasted Barrel Finish Sour Mash Description
This sour mash Kentucky bourbon is distilled in Kentucky with a recipe that dates back to 1753. Matured first in new American white oak barrels, this limited release expression is then transferred to toasted oak barrels crafted from 18-month air-dried wood, before being bottled at a strength of 43% abv.
Nose: sweet vanilla, campfire smoke and a touch of orange peel.
Palate: toffee and buttery vanilla notes, with milk chocolate, cherry and spices.
Finish: long and spicy with a lingering wood smoke.
