This wonderful 17-year-old single cask expression comes to us from Hunter Laing & Co., the renowned family-run indie bottler. Part of the Old Malt Cask series, this expression was distilled at Islay's Bowmore distillery in 2001 and matured for its full term in a refill barrel before bottling in May 2019 at a preferred strength of 50% abv free from any chill filtration or colouring. Nose: passion fruit, apple and plenty of smoke.
Palate: sweet notes of mango and caramel with classic Islay peat.
