The Paul John Christmas Edition 2025 lands as the eighth chapter in the distillery’s much-looked-forward-to festive release, and it’s a bit of a milestone too, being the oldest whisky Paul John has bottled so far. Made down in Goa, India, this limited edition starts life with unpeated malt, spending five years resting in bourbon casks before heading off for a second spell in cream sherry casks.

After two years there, the whisky’s brought together and left to marry for another year, before being bottled at a healthy 48% ABV. It’s bottled just as nature intended – non-chill-filtered and with no added colouring.

Our Hamish has had a sip and jotted down his thoughts.

Nose: There’s a lovely waft of dried fruits, creamy toffee and festive spice, followed by dark chocolate, honeyed malt and a soft, warming oak note.

Palate: Rich and well-rounded, with flavours of raisins, figs and sweet sherry, balanced out by vanilla, roasted nuts and gentle baking spices.

Finish: Long and warming, leaving behind cocoa, a touch of sweetness and a dry, spiced glow that feels spot on for the season.

Returns

If your item is damaged in transit or you receive an item that is clearly different to that ordered, please contact us within 24 hours of delivery. We will arrange a free return via courier and issue a full refund to your original payment method once we have received the returned items.

If you wish to cancel your order for any other reason, contact us within 14 days of delivery. You will be responsible for the cost of returning your items. Items must be returned within 14 days from the date of cancellation. Refunds will be issued to your original payment method when we receive the items.

Please note that any personalised, engraved, bespoke or made-to-order items, or items with a broken seal, are non-refundable unless faulty.
