Teaninich

Teaninch Distillery was founded in 1817 by Captain Hugh Munro, owner of the Teaninich estate on the north east coast of Scotland. It remained in Munro family hands until 1904, and is now under Diageo ownership. It has an annual capacity of four million litres, and the majority of this is used in blended whiskies such as Vat 69 and Johnnie Walker. Teaninch has never marketed itself as a single malt producer, however there has been an official release and there are a handful of independent botlings available.
