The First Editions Authors’ Series is a range of single cask expressions, created by the prestigious blenders and bottlers, Hunter Laing & Co, in celebration of pioneering writers. This is a limited edition expression, inspired by the life and works of
George Sand.

Distilled in September 1996 at Orkney's Highland Park, this single malt was matured in a refill hogshead for 21 years before bottling in October 2017. This 15th release in the series is limited to just 230 bottles, each one presented at a natural cask strength of 52.7% abv.

Each bottle is presented in a brown leather box, embossed with gold metallic text, and are individually wax sealed.

George Sand was the pen name of Amantine Lucile Aurore Dupin (1804-1876), a French novelist and memoirist, known for her works Indiana, Valentine and Jacques, as well as for her romantic entanglements with the artists Frederick Chopin and Alfred de Musset.
