Ledaig

Ledaig whisky is produced at the Tobermory distillery, on the Hebridean Isle of Mull. Where it differs from Tobermory whisky is that it is distilled from heavily peated malted barley, giving the liquid a highly distinctive, light yet smoky and peaty flavour. The distillery has been in and out of production since it was founded in 1798 by John Sinclair, even having been used as a power station during the 1930s, but is now in the hands of Burn Stewart Distillers. The Ledaig releases make up part of the distillery’s core range, which are notably smokier than their unpeated Tobermory counterparts.
