A limited edition celebrating Ardbeg Day at the 2017 Fèis Ìle, this Islay single malt is the distillery's first to use virgin oak from the Black Sea coast for maturation. Known for imparting incredibly deep flavour notes, only a handful of whiskies have ever been matured in these casks. Our Hamish has had a sip and jotted down his thoughts.
Nose: powerful, oily peat, dark chocolate, smoked fish, seaweed and a curious herbal note intertwined with waves of black pepper.
Palate: a peppery mouthfeel with a crescendo of rich treacle, Turkish coffee, smoky bacon and dark chocolate, before a curious peach note, hickory wood and clove oil with a suggestion of black olives.
Finish: deep and long lasting flavours of tar, clove and rich toffee.

If your item is damaged in transit or you receive an item that is clearly different to that ordered, please contact us within 24 hours of delivery. We will arrange a free return via courier and issue a full refund to your original payment method once we have received the returned items.
