The distillery was built by the Harvey Brothers in 1881. The brand shot to fame in the 2000’s under Mark Reynier. Breaks the mould of Islay whisky, being light and unpeated. Made from 100% Scottish barley, trickle distilled, then matured for its entire life by the shores of Lochindaal in premium American oak, it is a testament to the quality the ingredients.
Nose: Warm toasted barley over toffee, suggestion of almonds and hints of tropical fruits.
Palate: Pear drops and barley sugar abound, backed up by honey, almonds and fresh lemon.
Finish: Fresh and intense.
