The flagship release in the heavily-peated Port Charlotte range from Bruichladdich, this 10 year old Islay single malt has been matured in a combination of first and second-fill American whiskey casks and second-fill French wine casks. Bottled free from chill-filtration and artificial colouring at a strength of 50% abv.
Nose: dry and smoky peat ash, balanced with caramel, fudge vanilla and hints of ginger, nutmeg and cloves.
Palate: smoky and sweet with coconut, vanilla, lemon honey, smoked oysters and salty sand.
Finish: the smoke continues with malted barley and sweet fruity notes.
