Rosebank

Rosebank Distillery is located in Camelon near Falkirk, in the Lowlands of Scotland, and has been closed indefinitely since 1993. Illegal distillation has been recorded as early as 1773, but it was officially founded in 1840 by James Rankine. By the late 19th century, sales were only available on allocation because the spirit was so popular with blenders, and it was taken over by the company that soon became Diageo, and has remained one of the most popular Lowland malts.
