The distillery draws its water from the Burnside springs and uses a lightly peated malted barley varietal as the cereal source of this distinctive and intriguing Speyside single malt.
This 22 year old expression has been finished in Moscatel wine casks and is presented non chill-filtered and at its natural colour.
Nose: orange marmalade, fig syrup and sweet dates with a dusting of cocoa and cinnamon and a hint of mint.
Palate: dark chocolate fondant glazed with maraschino cherries turning into plum and spiced honey.
Finish: long and rounded with an earthy balance of nutmeg, barley and leather.
