Caperdonich

Caperdonich Distillery is located in Rothes, on the banks of the River Spey, in the Speyside region of Scotland. Originally opened under the name Glen Grant #2 in 1898, it was closed four years later and reopened as Caperdonich in 1965, named after a nearby burn which supplied water to both distilleries. The distillery closed in 2002 after having been purchased by Pernod Ricard, and official bottlings are rare and slow to be released. Much of the spirit produced is used in blends such as Chivas Regal.
