Glenallachie distillery was founded in 1967 and is located in the town of Aberlour. One of Scotland’s youngest distilleries, it draws its water source from the springs of Ben Rinnes. The distillery is no longer open to the public, but still produces 2.8 million litres of spirit annually, as well as practising environmentally friendly methods of whisky production. All the spirit is matured in the distillery in ex-bourbon casks, in one of the 14 warehouses onsite. Now owned by Pernod Ricard, there is only one official release and a handful of independent bottlings.
