Hark, fellow malt enthusiasts! This Mortlach is a rare old expression. Formerly a lesser-talked about Speyside distillery, this one is turning heads and tasting glasses toward its tasty expressions. This single malt whisky is bottled at 43.4% abv. It has matured in a combination of ex-bourbon and sherry casks, creating a meaty dram not dissimilar to the former bottlings, such as the Flora and Fauna 16 Year Old. The bottles ooze with elegance and reflect the Victorian engineering that was the base from which Mortlach’s distillery sprung.

Nose: biscuits, toffee fudge, sultanas.
Palate: orchard fruits, rich, spicy, vanilla, raisins, toasted oak.
Finish: warm, drying, cinnamon, black pepper, vanilla pods.
