Founded in 1960, Tormore distillery was built by Schenley International with the original intention of supplying whisky for their Long John blends. It was the first new distillery to be built in the Highlands in the last century, and is one of the most distinctive looking distilleries in Scotland. Set against the backdrop of a tree covered hill, Tormore is surrounded by plants shaped to look like stills, and regularly plays Scottish music aloud to visitors.
