A sight for sore eyes, especially the eyes of any Speyside fan! This Strathisla 35 Year Old is a treat from Gordon & Macphail. Presented as part of its Private Collection range, this Strathisla was laid down to sleep in June 1985. It was bottled in April 2021 at a healthy 57.8% abv. It matured for the full 35 years in a refill bourbon barrel, and only 104 bottles of the stuff have been made. Nose: red apple, orange, cigar box, butterscotch, banana, floral notes.
Palate: lemon zestiness, toasted oak, vanilla pods, velvety chocolate, brown sugar, pineapple juiciness.
Finish: sharp zing of citrus, fruity, long.
