This single cask release from The Last Drop Distillers was discovered in the warehouses of Glenrothes distillery in Speyside, where, in 1968, it had been laid down in cask 13504 and forgotten about for the next fifty years. Bottled in 2018 at a cask strength of 51.3% abv, only 168 bottles have been produced. Nose: complex yet mellow with fruity and herbal notes, before a wisp of smoke.
Palate: mouth-coating and sweet with a pinch of salt and pepper.
Finish: long and warming with a slight menthol aspect.
