And so The Living Cask® was born, with that combination of Islay malts at its heart forevermore. Respecting our Inveraray roots, we christened it The Living Cask 1745 in a nod to the year the town was founded by The Duke of Argyll. It’s a very fine dram, and its excellent Islay credentials can be tasted in every drop. Please note: Our Loch Fyne Whiskies products are presented in handmade glass bottles. Carefully selecting a used bourbon cask with tight staves and a good heritage, we created a marriage of what we considered to be the ‘the best’ Islay single malts. And so The Living Cask® was born, with that combination of Islay malts at its heart forevermore. Respecting our Inveraray roots, we christened it The Living Cask 1745 in a nod to the year the town was founded by The Duke of Argyll.

It’s a very fine dram, and its excellent Islay credentials can be tasted in every drop.

Hamish Says...

Our Hamish has had a sip and jotted down his thoughts.

Nose: Sweet smoke, like burning heather, it then opens to a chimney soot and coal tar. There's a nice maltiness with a touch of coconut. Over time this is reminiscent of harbours and old rope - Typical Islay! Palate: Big, bold and yet balanced delicately. An oily texture, there's an ashy note underlying with lots of peat, tar, tobacco and charred oak. Finish: Peppery but with a sweet edge. It really stands out from the crowd.

We care about our impact on the environment, so during checkout you can choose our Reduce & Recycle service to remove any unwanted gift cartons, tubes or boxes, from your order. We'll recylce wherever possible or return them to the manufacturer.

We send all of our orders with tracked courier services, allowing you to follow your parcel's journey to its destination. We'll send a link to your email when the order is dispatched.

Returns

If your item is damaged in transit or you receive an item that is clearly different to that ordered, please contact us within 24 hours of delivery. We will arrange a free return via courier and issue a full refund to your original payment method once we have received the returned items.

If you wish to cancel your order for any other reason, contact us within 14 days of delivery. You will be responsible for the cost of returning your items. Items must be returned within 14 days from the date of cancellation. Refunds will be issued to your original payment method when we receive the items.

Please note that any personalised, engraved, bespoke or made-to-order items, or items with a broken seal, are non-refundable unless faulty.
