Bowsaw Bourbon

The first of many American whiskeys on my 'best of' list to hail from Kentucky, this one from Bowsaw Distillery is full to bursting with sweet and satisfying flavours. This striking dram pulls together corn, rye, and malted barley to create a surprising expression like nowt else. Lemon, aniseed and nougat take the spotlight alongside more typical notes of vanilla, toffee and butterscotch. It's an absolute delight, I must say!

Angel's Envy

Angels Envy is a belter in the bourbon world. What sets it apart is its braw port finish. A ground-breaking way of finishing bourbon, this Kentucky straight bourbon takes a leaf or two out of Scotch whisky’s book and spends between three and six months being finished in port barrels. The result? A blend of sweet caramel from the virgin oak and rich, sticky port notes that'll make your taste buds dance a jig. Cheers to those pushin' the boundaries!

New York Ragtime Rye

New York Distilling Company present this fine American straight whiskey, made tae capture the whiskey cocktail trend at the turn of the century: drinks made with spicy and warming rye. This expression is made from rye grown in New York State, and aged in full-size barrels, it packs a punch that'll warm yer cockles. Give it a go in a Sazerac cocktail and you'll be grinnin' like a Cheshire cat.

Michter's US*1 Bourbon

This wee Kentucky bourbon from Michter's is a cracker. They've crafted it with top-notch American corn and aged it in charred American white oak barrels till it's spot on. A smooth and earthy dram with hints of vanilla bean, caramel, sweet stone fruits, and a wee bit of smoke. A delicious treat, no doubt!

FEW Bourbon Whiskey

FEW's small batch bourbon hails from Evanston, USA, which got hit hard by Prohibition for a whole century! They cleverly nod to that by naming their brand after Frances Elizabeth Willard, a bigwig in the Temperance Movement. Their hand-crafted bourbon is aged in charred oak barrels, blending southern tradition with the spicy kick of northern rye and a touch of malt for smoothness. The flavour is a real treat, with sweet toffee, caramel, cardamom, and cloves.

Whistlepig 10 Year Old Rye

WhistlePig Rye is a wee beauty that's got folks worldwide buzzing, and rightly so. This rare 10-year-old small batch gem comes straight from Vermont's WhistlePig farm distillery, but here's the kicker—it was actually first distilled up in Canada! Must've gained some wisdom from its travels, 'cause it's packed with flavors of mixed spice, zesty citrus, smooth vanilla, and luscious cherry. One sip and you'll be enchanted, no doubt!

Westward Pinot Noir Cask

What a one-of-a-kind dram we have here! This bourbon hails from Westward distillery in Oregon, and pays tribute to its state's wine country by finishing their signature single malt in Pinot Noir casks. And let me tell ya, it's added a whole new level of flavours to their already acclaimed bourbon. Think luscious dark chocolate, juicy peaches, and a wee touch of nuttiness. If ye fancy somethin' a bit different and want to step outside the box, this here's the perfect whiskey for you!

Blanton's Gold Edition

A wee showstopper if there ever was one! The gold standard of ultra-premium bourbon, Blanton's is exceptionally smooth, full and rich with sharp apricot notes alongside butter, pepper, honey and oak. The golden horse & jockey stopper completes this bottle givin' it that extra touch of class. One to really impress your pals with this fourth of July, nae doubt about it.
