This 13-year-old heavily peated Inchfad bottled by Darkness hails from the Loch Lomond distillery. Like the rest of this series it is finished in specially-coopered sherry octaves, more specifically with this single malt being finished in the Pedro Ximenez variety. Octaves are around a quarter the size of an American standard cask, offering intense interaction between the wood and spirit. Bottled at 50% ABV and with plenty of robust sherry notes of fruit and spice mixed with that rich peat smoke.
