Ardmore 12 Year Old Port Wood Finish Description

This 12-year-old expression comes from Ardmore in the Scottish Highlands. Matured first in American white oak ex-bourbon barrels, this single malt is finished in European oak port pipes bringing a sweet wine influence to the peaty Highlander.

Hamish Says

Nose: peaty and sweet with summer fruits, red grapes and aged oak.

Palate: burnt orange peel and mellow peat with some vanilla from the bourbon cask influence.

Finish: light and sweet with some sweet wine aspects.
