There was great enthusiasm the last time Benromach decided to produce a dram that was completely foreign to their signature range, and this is no different. A small-batch expression, this Benromach Peat Smoke Sherry Cask Matured is a rarity. It is only the second time that Benromach have produced a truly peaty, heavily sherried malt. Laid down in 2012 into first-fill sherry hogshead casks before being bottled in 2021, this whisky has a cask-imparted light mahogany colour. Whisky fans can allow themselves to be a little excited for this new release. There was great enthusiasm the last time Benromach decided to produce a dram that was completely foreign to their signature range, and this is no different.

A small-batch expression, this Benromach Peat Smoke Sherry Cask Matured is a rarity. It is only the second time that Benromach have produced a truly peaty, heavily sherried malt. Laid down in 2012 into first-fill sherry hogshead casks before being bottled in 2021, this whisky has a cask-imparted light mahogany colour.

Our Hamish has had a sip and jotted down his thoughts.

Nose: cinnamon, ginger, soft demerara sugar.

Palate: cocoa powder, honeycomb, stewed red berries, vanilla, pepper.

Finish: full-bodied finish, with cherry, peat smoke and lingering sweetness.

Returns

If your item is damaged in transit or you receive an item that is clearly different to that ordered, please contact us within 24 hours of delivery. We will arrange a free return via courier and issue a full refund to your original payment method once we have received the returned items.

If you wish to cancel your order for any other reason, contact us within 14 days of delivery. You will be responsible for the cost of returning your items. Items must be returned within 14 days from the date of cancellation. Refunds will be issued to your original payment method when we receive the items.

Please note that any personalised, engraved, bespoke or made-to-order items, or items with a broken seal, are non-refundable unless faulty.
