Filey Bay Special Release Double Oak #2

From the wee gems at Spirit of Yorkshire Distillery, this Double Oak Special Release, Filey Bay Double Oak #2, marries together their two distillate styles and is matured in a unique combination of hand-selected ex-Bourbon and Virgin Oak casks. You can expect flavours that bring to mind an English childhood here, with nostalgic flavours of cream soda, fruit gums, banana bread and pineapple cubes calling for some rose-tinted glasses.

The English Distillery Heavily Smoked Sherry Butt

As the second addition to The English Distillery's 2023 small batch collection, this 11-year-old single malt boasts a delightful smokiness that has been sweetened by its sherry cask finish. With a phenol level of 65ppm, this dram holds notes of peat smoke, apricots and fudge on the decadent palate. A limited edition release of only 2132 bottles, hailing from Norfolk!

The Lakes Single Malt Whiskymaker's Editions Iris

The bonnie folks at The Lakes distillery have done it again, with their latest release in the Whiskymaker's Editions series - Iris. This wee dram is a lively and spirited English single malt that'll have you seeing the world in a whole new light, with everything turned up to the max. The Lakes are inspired by their lush surroundings of the Lake District (a wonderful English beauty spot) in every dram they think up.

Wire Works Alter Ego

Wire Works Alter Ego hails from White Peak Distillery in Derbyshire, and it's cool name is such because the distillers have opted for lengthier cut points and a different cask selection to their flagship single malt. Wire Works typically uses majority STR casks, with some bourbon casks, however Alter Ego has reversed this make up. The result is more fruit and biscuit, with a wee bit more peat. That's what I like to see!

The Norfolk Popcorn Single Grain Whisky

The alter ego of The English Whisky Co., if you will, this is the bourbon-esque twin to their English single malt. Popcorn is a wonderfully sweet, complex and warming grain whisky - like a wee hug in a glass. A limited run of only 1500 bottles, it showcases flavours of toffee apple, walnut, oak, pepper - and popcorn of course!

Gulliver's 47 Pedro Ximenez Cask

Now, this is a real treat - the first-ever sherried Gulliver's 47, a six-year-old single malt whisky from the St George's Distillery in Norfolk. It's been matured in hand-selected Pedro Ximenez sherry casks, and distilled using Concerto barley - a rare and regional variety that's exclusive to East Anglia. This an unmistakably English whisky, a dram to savour.

English Whisky Company 9 Year Old Batch 4 That Boutique-y Whisky Company

Another blazing triumph from That Boutique-y Whisky Company! This latest expression was released as part of their Wine Cask Series - a single malt from the English Whisky Co boasting notes of ginger, chocolate and a touch of barbecue smoke. It's been matured in an Oloroso sherry cask for nine years, before being bottled at a powerful 67% abv - so hold on to yer hats!

Masthouse Single Malt Pot and Column Still

Crafted by the skilled hands at Copper Rivet distillery in Kent, this exceptional expression is made exclusively from 100% Belgravia barley, which is then distilled in both column and pot stills. The result is a truly distinctive single malt whisky, with notes of freshly baked bread, liquorice, porridge and rich butterscotch - quintessentially English flavours (I think - I'm Scottish!).
