I am thrilled to present to you my new Hidden Malt. Every so often, usually when I've indulged in a few of my favourite drams and I'm feeling my most generous, I hide a very special bottle inside one lucky order. This time, you are in with a chance to win this unique Ledaig 1999 PX bottling.

The expression was distilled in 1999, matured exclusively in Pedro Ximenez sherry casks, and bottled in 2021 - making the dram 22 years old! Bottled at a bold cask strength of 55.6% abv, the expression is a limited-edition bottling boasting notes of mocha, caramelized fruit, marzipan and tobacco smoke all throughout the palate.

Ledaig, meaning 'safe haven', is a heavily-peated expression from the folks over at Tobermory Distillery on the bonnie Isle of Mull. And let me tell ya, it's a bold one! Produced for six months of the year, it's peated with 30-40ppm of phenol, resulting in a dram that's chock-full of sweet smoke and earthy notes. Did ye ken that Ledaig was actually the original name for the distillery itself? Aye, back when it was founded in the Ledaig area of Mull by a man named John Sinclair. But it wasn't until Burn Stewart Distillers came along and bought the distillery in 1993 that the Ledaig brand was born.

To be in with a chance to win this fine whisky, simply add any expression from Tobermory or Ledaig to your basket. When your package arrives, you may find this very special bottle hiding in there too. Good luck!
