The Loch Fyne Caol Ila 9 Year Old #319096
This here is a heavily peated Caol Ila single malt that has been matured for nine years in refill Hogshead cask #319096. Presented at huge 59.7% abv, only 386 bottles of this fine whisky exist. An intriguing balance of lemon zest, intense smoke, treacle toffee and butter popcorn - delicious. I almost want tae keep all of them for myself.
The Loch Fyne Islay 9 Year Old #860
This mysterious gem hails from the isle of Islay, with only 450 bottles of this elusive dram. The single malt has been matured for nine years in cask #860, and is presented at 53.0% abv. Expect a light and gentle palate with complex sweet peat smoke and exotic spice flavour. The finish will engulf you with waves of gentle smoke and a floral haze that will have you looking for more.
The Loch Fyne Williamson 8 Year Old #036
This whisky has been treated to an eight year slumber in cask #036, and decanted at 53.0% abv. Williamson is the cover name for one of Islay's most loved distilleries, made famous for its heavily peated expressions. It boasts flavours of dark chocolate, iodine and pepper, with a strong note of peat all the way through. However, it's a tiny yield of just 186 bottles from the small cask - so grab one while ye can!
The Loch Fyne Ben Nevis 10 Year Old #836
The Highland single malt from Ben Nevis in Fort William has been matured for 10 years in cask #836, and is presented at 53.0% abv. With much of Ben Nevis whisky now escaping the shores of Scotland for export, we grabbed the chance to bottle this beauty with both hands. Expect to discover that funky Ben Nevis character which is unique to this wonderful distillery, with notes of treacle, marshmallows and fresh almonds. Only 378 bottles of this liquid exist.
The Loch Fyne Bruichladdich 12 Year Old Single Cask #2114
I've always had a wee soft spot for Bruichladdich. This expression has been aged for a dozen years in cask #2114, a unique Rivesaltes cask - Rivesaltes being a sweet fortified wine hailing from southern France. Deep mahogany in colour, the liquid has been decanted into just 397 bottles, at a whopping cask strength of 63% abv. The result is rich flavours of blackberries, brown sugar, espresso and exotic spices throughout the palate. Expect to add a wee drop of water to open up all those flavours.
