A marriage of casks that are a complete mystery to all but Head Distiller Adam Hannett, Black Art is an experiment to explore the deep connection between spirit and wood. This eight edition in the series was distilled in 1994 – the year that Bruichladdich closed for what could have been the last time – and matured for 26 years. All individually numbered bottles have been produced at a strength of 45.1% abv.
Nose: lime zest, orange peel, pipe tobacco and maple syrup.
Palate: caramel, apricots and walnuts.
Finish: caramel shortcake lingers on in this sweet finish.
