70cl / 50% abv
Bruichladdich Islay Barley Description
The barley used to make this whisky was grown especially for the distillery in the Coull, Rockside, Island, Mulindry, Starchmill and Cruach farms on Islay itself. Bottled at 7 years old, this expression is an ultra-provenance Islay single malt.
Nose: fruity and floral with peach, pear, apricot and orange before oak and cereal emerge with vanilla.
Palate: soft and creamy with plenty of barley sugar, elderflower and honeysuckle atop marine notes and a pinch of black pepper, with vanilla and coconut appearing towards the finish.
Finish: rich and fruity with a touch of sea spray lingering.
