Green Isle Description
A balanced, smoky and light blended Scotch whisky comprised of Islay malt at its core, alongside Speyside malt and Lowland grain whiskies chosen to complement the characteristics of the Islay component. A good all-rounder for Islay fans - or those new to smoky whiskies!
Fun Fact: Green Isle is another name for Islay (from back in the olden days!) - read all about it in the novel The Green Isle of the Great Deep, written by Neil Gunn, that talks of an island off the west coast of Scotland only accessible via a whirlpool...
Nose: sweet honey, orchard fruits and freshly cut grass.
Palate: earthy notes; coastal peat, crushed peppercorns and poached pears.
Finish: dry smoke and shortbread.
