After laying dormant for 79 years, Glengyle distillery in Campbeltown re-opened in 2004 and 12 years later the first core expression is ready to be released. This 12 year old Single Malt has been matured in 70% bourbon and 30% sherry casks before bottlingat 46% abv, non chill-filtered and at natural colour.

Nose: oak notes to the fore with toasted marshmallows and dried fruit pudding following, cherries, marzipan and a hint of peat also mingling.
Palate: a fruity citrus burst greets before vanilla, butterscotch, honeycomb and digestive biscuits join in.
Finish: velvety smooth with lemon meringue and the oiliness and saltiness expected of a Campbeltown dram.
