Kingsbarns 10 Year Old

A milestone expression from the Lowland distillery Kingsbarns, this release is their first 10-year-old single malt release. So whether you're after a fantastic whisky to share with friends, or a piece of whisky history for your collector's shelf - you'll want to get your hands on this! 

Distilled from barley local to the distillery, this fruity Lowland liquid was matured in 90% ex-Bourbon barrels and 10% STR red wine barriques, giving it added sweetness, spice, and depth. The final expression was bottled at 46% abv. 

Our Hamish has had a sip and jotted down his thoughts.

Nose: Elegant and floral with summer blossom, soft vanilla, and apricot.

Palate: Soft fudge with a hint of spice running throughout and layers of pineapple tart and toffee apple.

Finish: Long and refined with citrus and a continuation of the subtle spice.
