A touch of Macallan history. This Macallan 1991 Fine and Rare 25 Year Old is a well-aged whisky that is increasingly hard to find. This particular expression was aged for 25 years in an American oak sherry-seasoned puncheon cask. Distilled on the 28th March 1991, it was brought out from its slumber in 2016 for the Fine & Rare series. It is bottled at cask strength. Old folks like us remember when Macallan was just becoming known for its spectacular single malts back in the 1980s, and this expression takes us back to when we first understood what the fuss was all about.
