Old Malt Cask Tobermory 12 Year Old
70cl / 50% abv
Old Malt Cask Tobermory 12 Year Old Description
If this single malt was released as an original distillery bottling, it would be named Ledaig, Tobermory's peated expression. However, this smoky delight comes to us from renowned indie bottler Hunter Laing & Co., released as part of the famous Old Malt Cask series of single cask expressions. This Island single malt was distilled in June 2007 from peated malt barley and matured for 12 years in a refill butt (#HL17154) before bottling at a preferred strength of 50% abv in September 2019. Just 282 bottles have been produced.
Nose: peat, sea salt and pepper.
Palate: peat smoke, fresh lemon and pear with a grassy note.
Finish: long, smoky and satisfying.
