Part of the Diageo 2017 Special Releases, this single grain whisky was distilled at the now lost Port Dundas distillery in Glasgow. Distilled in 1964 before being filled to American oak hogsheads to mature for more than half a century, only 752 bottles have been produced at a natural cask strength of 44.6% abv.
Nose: rich butterscotch and fruit chews with vanilla toffee and planed oak.
Palate: creamy and sweet with honey and buttery pastry notes, before dried fruit and boiled sweets develop, eventually becoming oaky with a touch of cinnamon.
Finish: long, warming and oaky with a lasting peach aspect.
