At the heart of The Loch Fyne Botanical Gin are juniper, coriander and orange peel, complemented by the addition of sea buckthorn, heather pearls, lemon peel and traditional milk thistle. These ingredients combine to create a distinctive yet balanced gin, with plenty of aromatic appeal and a lingering, sweet herbal finish. The Loch Fyne The Living Cask Batch 12   + £59.00

50cl / 43.6% abv. Why have one Living Cask, when you can have two? Inspired by our award-winning The Living Cask 1745, we created a second cask of equal quality. Read moreTo begin, we part filled it with our 1745, which we then topped up with a selection of carefully chosen Highland malts. We christened this The Living Cask ‘Batch 1’. Because of how it was made, stocks were limited, and it soon sold out. We then set about creating Batch 2. Taking the depleted stocks of Batch 1, we poured in a selection of delicious Speyside single malts. Once again, stock was limited and The Living Cask Batch 2 sold out as well. Next came Batch 3 – we took what remained of Batch 2 and added some amazing sherry cask single malts. Batch 4 followed, taking the depleted stocks of Batch 3 and adding some of the best bourbon cask single malts we could find. We're now at Batch 12 and so the process will go on. The Living Cask® will never die and will always be an evolution of its Islay origins. Every batch we craft is different, meaning each intriguing expression is a limited edition release, and part of an ongoing series which is as collectable as it is delicious.  Using Batch 11 as the base this Loch Fyne Living Cask Batch 12 has whiskies from Linkwood, Mortlach and Ben Nevis. The Linkwood and Mortlach expressions have been finished in Muscatel Wine to add some rich and sweet complexity. 50cl / 43.6% abv. Carefully selecting a used bourbon cask with tight staves and a good heritage, we created a marriage of what we considered to be the ‘the best’ Islay single malts. Respecting our Inveraray roots, we christened it The Living Cask 1745 in a nod to the year the town was founded by The Duke of Argyll. Our very own Glencairn glass. Read moreEnjoy a dram of our finest Scotch whiskies and liqueurs from a glass that has been designed for the perfect sipping experience – as used by master blenders. The size and shape of the Glencairn whisky glass has been perfected to accommodate a 35ml pour, allowing for addition of water but keeping an optimum amount of liquid in contact with air to allow the aromas to develop. The tapering mouth allows for an ease of drinking whilst capturing the all-important aromas. The wide crystal bowl enhances the appreciation of the whisky's colour whilst the solid base is designed to be easy in the hand but robust enough for the discerning regular whisky drinker.
