Writers' Tears Copper Pot Description
Try a wee taste of the dram that fuelled the imagination of writers such as James Joyce, Samuel Beckett, Bernard & Shaw and many more. A marriage of inspiration and art, this was aged in American oak ex-bourbon casks, and is distilled from malted and unmalted barley. In the 20th century, Ireland found a new style of whisky to be particularly agreeable to artistic inspiration, that which married pot still and malt whiskeys. This does exactly that and distills them all in copper pots to retain authenticity. Make sure and do let us know what inspirations arise after a dram or two of this!
Nose: green apple, vanilla.
Palate: caramel, ginger, malty notes, vanilla.
Finish: combination of chocolate flavours, long, warming.
