Part of the Diageo 2017 Special Releases, this Highland single malt was distilled at Blair Athol in Pitlochry in 1993 before being filled to ex-bodega European oak butts to mature for 23 years. Only 5,514 bottles have been produced at a cask strength of 58.4% abv.
Nose: vinous and drying with peanut and honey, creme brulee and baked bananas.
Palate: rich, smooth and sweet with spicy oak and liquorice alongside lemon zest and baked apples.
Finish: mint creams and caster sugar fade to oak spice and charred oak.
