Bunnahabhain Toiteach A Dha
This expression from the famously unpeated Islay distillery is a sequel to the original Toiteach, crafted using Bunnahabhain Mòine, the distillery's peated spirit. It's name, Toiteach A Dha (pronounced 'Toch-ach ah-gha'), translates to 'Smoky Two' in Scots Gaelic and combines a higher proportion of sherry casks than the original. The result is award-winning flavours of warming peat, sherry, rich oak, spice and black pepper.
Loch Lomond 12 Year Old
This 12 Year Old expression from the core range of Loch Lomond Distillery is aged in three types of cask: bourbon, refill and re-charred. Marrying together creates a perfectly balanced Highland Single Malt with a deep fruity character complete with the distillery's characteristic hints of peat and smoke. Expect lashings of fruit with lemon meringue, pear and orchard fruits leading to citrus lemon, vanilla and biscuit.
That Boutique-y Whisky Company Mackmyra 9 Year Old Batch 3
Released as a part of That Boutique-y Whisky Company's Cinema Labels collection, this complex single malt Swedish whisky hails from Mackmyra distillery. The expression was matured for nine years, with a finish in a cask seasoned with Japanese Hojicha Green Tea. Something a wee bit different for the whisky film fan this Christmas, perhaps?
Fettercairn 12 Year Old
This 12-year-old expression from Fettercairn in the Highlands is fully aged in bourbon oak casks, showcasing the distillery's signature tropical fruit notes at their best. The light and fresh whisky brings flavours of nectarines and pineapple, fresh roasted coffee, cloves and ginger.
Auchroisk 10 Year Old
Released as a part of Diageo's Flora and Fauna range, this Speyside expression hailing from the underrated Auchroisk distillery is a perfect apéritif malt whisky. Doughy and buttery on the palate, with hints of lemon and pineapple before slight aniseed and smoke on the finish.
anCnoc 12 Year Old
The anCnoc 12 year old is a wee award-winner. Perfect for every occasion, this versatile Highland whisky represents a traditional distillery using modern methods. Matured in a combination of second fill American oak, ex-bourbon and ex-sherry casks, this whisky boasts a light, yet complex character with notes of honeycomb, citrus fruits and a touch of sea spray.
Eagle Rare
Aged for a minimum of 10 years, this Kentucky straight bourbon is distilled at Buffalo Trace distillery and has been awarded gold medals at international spirits competitions almost every year. And its no wonder, with its bold flavours of candied almonds, rich cocoa and herbal touches.
Jura 18 Year Old
The oldest expression in Jura's new signature range, this 18 year old Island single malt is matured in American white oak ex-bourbon barrels and enriched in Premier Grand Cru Classe red wine barriques from France. Made by a tiny island community, this Jura expression is rich and full-bodied with flavours of black forest fruits, cinnamon spice and smoke.
